My  Artist  Philosophy

I have been an artist all of my life. I have taken great pleasure in the color, style, and design of the world around me, and have persued the understanding of these elements in my daily life. With these goals in mind, I have enthusiastically garnered the ability to manipulate images in a digital format.

As a young artist I was an aprentice/assistant for a commercial photographer in Cleveland, Ohio. This provided me with the opportunity to explore black and white photo processing and developing at an intense level of professionalism. With this opportunity, I was also able to branch out into multimedia photography, manipulating every day items into my art. This began a long process of artisic evolution in my life, as well as a move to Alaska, and I have spent over a decade experimenting with photography, painting, and 2 1/2 demensional sculpture. Eventually this led me to choose digital design as a career.

The choice to go to college came when the desire to assimilate my style of fine art into commercially viable digital designs became important to me. I believe that there is a great deal of opportunity to express my vision in the fields which interest me. As a musician, the music industry is a specific field of concentration for me, as well as lending my aesthetic style to the field of sustainable and renewable resources and the modern environmental movement.
